Healthy Foods to Balance Your Chakras
Chakras (Sanskrit for “wheels”) are subtle centers in the energetic system of a living organism that take in and give out energy. Health is determined by the flow of energy from the 7 chakras into the metabolic network of the body. Blocked chakras, due to emotional, mental, and/or spiritual issues, can restrict energy flow and lead to illness.
Foods—especially foods that share colors with the chakras—carry vibrations that can activate or balance your chakras. Explore this gallery to find out which health conditions are associated with which chakra, and learn how to choose foods to bring your chakras into balance.

Tips to Top 2011.
Every time the New Year comes around, I find myself distinguishing my goals in the same way, year after year. I would write a list, then give that list a great deal of thought. What would I accomplish in 2011?
Here is a sample of some of the goals I plan to carry out:
Reading Tea Leaves: What’s it all about?
Tasseo
graphy (also known as tasseomancy or tealeaf reading) is a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments.
I have been performing tealeaf readings for many years, and although I do not charge for this service, it seems to attract quite a bit of attention. I recently partnered with Blenz Coffee and went on a tealeaf reading tour for the month of October. I also had the privilege of reading Mike & Fiona’s tealeaves on the television show Urban Rush. I have been asked several questions about this divination technique, and wanted to take this opportunity to share how this works for me.

The Worldwide Gratitude Project.
In these economic times, it seems like everybody could use a little more happiness in their lives. And with holiday season around the corner, stress levels appear to be increasing even more than usual. How does one combat these holiday blues and financial woes? Well a group of people in Michigan, the state hit hardest by the factory closings of the auto industry, decided to do something about the current state of the world by creating The 30 Days of Gratitude Project. This is a web-based community experiment running November 1st through November 30th complete with intentions of spreading the positive effects of gratitude throughout the world.
The idea for the project stems from scientific findings that concluded people who focused on appreciation and gratitude were considerably happier, less likely to complain about physical ailments, and more likely to exercise. Gratitude can also positively impact people’s energy, health, and life satisfaction. Who knew that Thanksgiving could serve a positive mental health function? READ MORE
The Procrastination List.
In the spirit of my favorite blog Zen Habits; I have been in pursuit of a method to rid myself of my procrastinations. I decided that there were too many tasks that were always flying under my radar, and that this unfinished business in my life was transforming into stress. I found myself thinking about these incomplete actions as I was about to fall asleep or when I had a moment to relax. No matter how often I thought about these objectives, they never seem to get accomplished! This is when I realized that by creating an action plan would manifest a positive result. I was really surprised how this list helped me purge unnecessary mind clutter. This could something as small as purchase postage stamps, or gruesome like tackling 5 years worth of taxes. I call it The Procrastination List.
