Reiki (ray-key) is a natural healing technique that feels like a flow of a high frequency of energy into and through a practitioner, and out the hands into another person.
Reiki is a Japanese technique that promotes healing, stress reduction and relaxation. This is a very gentle form of healing where touch is optional.
What to Expect?
Prepare to be pampered when you come over for a treatment. I have a professional message bed set up with freshly washed linen. There will be soft light, candles and ambient music playing in the background. I also use aromatherapy to instill a calm environment for your comfort and relaxation.
My cat Rousseau loves to assist in healings. She is normally very shy but will always make an appearance so she can assist in your healing. If you are not kitty friendly, simply let me know in advance and I can keep her in another room.
Tips Before Treatment:
Drink plenty of fluids.
Keeping your body hydrated during a Reiki session is essential to optimizing your healing experience. Reiki energy flows beautifully when your body is infused with plenty of H20.
Leave your stress and anxiety at the front door.
You want to maximize your healing experience by allowing the energy to flow from you freely.
Wear comfortable clothing.
You should arrive at your session in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. There is no need to remove any clothing for treatment, but tight fitting or restrictive clothing or undergarments may cause discomfort.
Remove your accessories.
Please remove all jewelry, your watch, eyeglasses or anything metallic. Metal articles often disrupt the flow of Reiki energy.
Set your intention.
This is your opportunity to participate in your own healing. I always allow my clients this opportunity before your session begins. Think of the part of your body that needs healing and relaxation, and intend for that healing to take place during the session. This makes the session twice as powerful and yields positive results.
This time is for you and you have made this special investment in yourself. Allow yourself to be spoiled. Remember: Energy flows where energy goes.
